holedesc[1]="This tee is marked by two orange bricks submerged in the ground. Orient yourself towards the woods (picnic area). You will be throwing in the direction of the Music Pagoda, aiming at a gnarled tree on the opposite side of the path. The tree is marked with an orange dot. The next tee pad is over the small bridge located to the left of the hole.";
holedesc[2]="The tee pad is the pavement immediately behind the wooden bridge. You are aiming for a thin signpost (rarely with a sign) at about 1 o\'clock on the clock dial. Note that there are two thin poles. The target is the nearer one. The next tee is to the left and back of the hole.";
holedesc[3]="The tee area is on the path near the tree that is shown in the photo. You drive down the path towards the Music \"Abe\" Pagoda (named in honor of... Abe Vigoda). The target is the tree nearest the front right corner of the pagoda. The next tee is on the far side of the Binnen Bridge.";
holedesc[4]="The tee area is on the far side of the Binnen Bridge, before the pavement. The hole goes along the path to the Audubon House. The target is the flagpole immediately before the Audubon House. The lake to the right side of the hole is out of bounds (no waterskiing, please), as is the fenced in area immediately to the right of the tee. \[Note - this hole can be populated during popular park hours. If it\’s too crowded, skip this and the next hole.\]";
holedesc[5]="The tee is on the path immediately to the right of the flagpole. Simply retrace your steps and hit the water fountain on the way to the bridge. The lake is now on your left, and is again out of bounds. Walk to the bridge for the next tee.";
holedesc[6]="The tee is the pavement immediately before the Binnen Bridge. You are aiming at the crooked tree across the path. Aim at about 10 o\'clock from the tee. There are a lot of trees, so look at the photo and hit the correct one. The next tee is back on the path.";
holedesc[7]="From the path behind the prior hole, you see two large trees about 40 feet in front, one on the left and one on the right. Beyond and between these two trees, in the open field, are two trees one behind the other. Hit the second one. The woods on the left behind the fence are OB. The next tee is to the right at a diagonal about 50 feet from the hole.";
holedesc[8]="This tee is marked with two submerged orange bricks. From the prior hole this tee is in the direction of 2 o\'clock, about 50 feet away. This is the first pure drive on the course. Drive along the path and bear to the left. The hole is the left-most of the three trees nearest the fork in the path, marked with an orange dot. The next tee is marked by a thick strip of asphalt on the path, right before the fork.";
holedesc[9]="The tee is right before the fork in the path. The fairway is straight and tight. There is out of bounds on the left, where there is a fence. If your disc lands down the hill on the left side where there is no fence, play your way out. The hole is the post on the triangular turf island at the end of the path. If there is a sign on the post [as there sometimes is], the sign is also part of the target. The next tee is on the path near the 3-sided signpost (marked with orange dots).";
holedesc[10]="The tee is on the path near the 3-sided signpost. Drive up the hill and to the left. The hole is the large tree at the end of the spindly woods. The woods on the right behind the fence are out of bounds. The thicket on the left is not out of bounds. While you\’re here, check out the Maryland Monument. The next tee is on the pathway near the large tree, where the path forks.";
holedesc[11]="The tee is on the path immediately beyond the fork, marked by orange dots. Drive down the hill to the streetlight on the far side of the grassy island. The fenced in woods to the left and right are out of bounds. The street is in bounds. For the next tee, hang a right and walk toward the Peninsula on the road.";
holedesc[12]="Another great pure drive. The tee is elevated on the roadway, straight away from the large tree in the distance, down the Peninsula. The hole is a smaller tree about 50 feet behind and to the right of the large tree. The water is OB. The woods behind the fence are OB. The next tee is immediately to the side of the target tree.";
holedesc[13]="The tee is on the right side of the last target at the end of the pile of woodchips. Drive under the branches of the tree and down the straightaway. [If the tee is blocked (e.g by large fallen branches or the Health group), walk along the fence about 50 feet and throw from there.] The target is the street light up the slope at the end of the fairway. The next tee is back up the road past the island where hole 9’s target was.";
holedesc[14]="The tee is on the path next to the fire hydrant [pump]. At the time of this writing a pothole marks the tee. Essentially this is the reverse of hole 9. The target is the fire hydrant at the end of the path in the grass on the left. Again, note the out of bounds areas in the woods behind the fences.";
holedesc[15]="The tee is two submerged bricks to the left of the pump. Drive straight out to the street light beyond and to the left of the large tree. The lamp post is at about 11 o' clock. \[Farther left and across the road you can see the old Quaker Cemetery.\] The next tee is front of the big howling tree you passed about 30 feet before the lamp post.";
holedesc[16]="Tee is two submerged orange colored bricks located in the grass below the previous target. You are aiming at a streetlight at the end of the green and to the right of the fence.  Over the fence is OB. The next tee is up the slope to the right on the pathway.";
holedesc[17]="From the path in front of the previous hole, drive to the small brown pipe located near the tee for hole 16. For the next tee, go back to the stump you just passed.";
holedesc[18]="Tee is marked by two submerged orange bricks about 12 feet from the path, about 100 feet back towards the previous tee. Drive along the pathway with the road on your left. The target is the cement water fountain straight ahead. Note that only the fountain counts, the cement block base is not part of the target. Walk a short distance down the path to the next tee.";
holedesc[19]="The tee is where the two dots on the pavement past the water fountain on 18. Drive through [or around] the near trees to the small brown pipe located at about 11 o'clock. The next tee is to the left across the roadway in between the two boulders and the street. The area behind the fence near the hole is OB.";
holedesc[20]="The tee is on the pathway between the two boulders where the path meets the road. The target is the metal water fountain near the Turtle Pond at about 10 o\'clock from the tee. The fenced in Turtle Pond area is OB.";
